One Shrimper 19 owner recently raised a concern that will be familiar to many: the jib furling line on the standard Holt Allen furler can occasionally jump off the drum and tangle at the end of the bowsprit — particularly when conditions become lively. As well as being frustrating, this can create a genuinely awkward and potentially unsafe situation when short-handed.
 
In response, we have developed the Skathow LineKeeper™ — a neat, purpose-designed drum cover that keeps the furling line properly contained and running smoothly.
