Rigging & wooden spar refurbishment.
This wooden Shrimper 19 mast has suffered some poor maintenance over it's long life, but the team at DTY where able to bring her back to a very high standard.
Completely stripped to remove most of the dark stain, some epoxy crack repairs and a coat of pine Sikkens make them look original and keeps them safe for years to come.
Sometimes we need to replace masts when they have excessive rot from the inside, but on this occasion we were able to save it. Polish the stainless fittings and maybe some bright new halyards and you have a rig to be proud of!

Upkeep and major repairs to wooden spars can be time consuming, which, when all your spare time should be spent sailing, is hard to justify for the average owner.
